1. ORGANIZATION

The Marathon des Hautes Fagnes races are organized by Belgium Peak Beer and Xrun.
The present regulations apply to all the races of this event: the 10, 21 and 42km races and the KIDS RUN.
The 2025 edition will take place on Sunday June 29, 2025.

2.  RACE PRESENTATION

The organizers would like to point out that, depending on the systems and settings used, the race routes may give different results.

10 km race (“Le galopin”)
Distance: 10km
Difference in altitude: 140m
Start time: to be announced

Half-marathon 21 km (“La pinte”)
Distance: 21km
Elevation gain: 265m
Start time: schedule to come

Marathon 42 km (“La chope”)
Distance: 42km
Difference in altitude: 605m
Start time: schedule to come
Maximum time: 6h30

KIDS RUN
Distance: 2km
Start time: to be announced

All routes will be signposted, and there will also be marshals at certain junctions.

 

3. ORGANISATION DES INSCRIPTIONS

Registrations are made online via Chronorace. Registration is valid only after payment has been received. Online registration closes on 23/06/25 at 23:59.
If the event is not fully booked, there will still be a few bibs available for purchase on site on the day of the event. However, in order to maintain a family atmosphere and respect for nature, the total number of registrations will be limited.
All registrations are personal, firm and final, and cannot be reimbursed for any reason whatsoever. 

4. PRICES

Prices vary according to the race you choose: €2/child for the Kids Run, €8/person for the 10km race, €18/person for the 23km race and €30/person for the 42km marathon.
This price includes :

  • Your race number

  • Access to refreshment points

  • A finisher's medal

  • Access to showers and changing rooms

5. CHANGE OF RACE

Race changes are only possible if there are still places available in the race concerned.
To do so, you must notify the organization by e-mail (info@peakbeer.be 080/21.48.76) before June 13, 2025, so that we can reallocate your race number. No refunds will be made. 

 

6. PARTICIPATION / HEALTH

The event is open to all.
It's important to recognize your limits and limit intense efforts for which you are not prepared. Choose your distance and pace wisely.
Medical certificates are not required. However, it is highly recommended that you have your heart checked regularly and decide what action to take.
The organizer accepts no responsibility in this respect.

7. DEPARTURE / ARRIVAL

The start and finish will be at the Belgium Peak Beer brewery (Route de Botrange 123, 4950 Sourbrodt). Participants are expected to arrive in the time slot corresponding to their race.

8. REFRESHMENT POINTS

Several refreshment points are provided along the course. Only runners wearing a visible race number and duly checked are allowed access to the refreshment posts. 

9. RACE BEHAVIOR

If, on the basis of a report from a member of the organization, the race jury is convinced that an athlete has left the marked course (thereby reducing the distance to be covered) or has not respected any provision of the specific race regulations, he/she may be disqualified.
Animals are not allowed on the race course.

10. DOSSARDS

Race numbers must be visible throughout the race. The use of a number belt is permitted.

11. BIB NUMBER COLLECTION

Bib numbers may be collected a few days before the event. There will be several possible pick-up points. Participants will be notified by e-mail a few weeks before the event of the pick-up arrangements at these pick-up points. 
It will be Possible to collect another participant's race number.
It will also be possible to collect your number from the brasserie on the day of the event.

12. SAFETY

A first-aid team will be on site on the day of the event.
An emergency number will be indicated on each bib.

13. AWARDS CEREMONY / PODIUM

There will be an awards ceremony and podium for each race.
